Good Times

This week has been very exciting. I have spent my days having a blast with my son, Tommy. We have had an exciting adventure each day. It has really meant a lot to me. The memories will be treasured forever. I have had the pleasure and joy of doing some "first time" things with him. For me, this is so important because I have missed so many "first time" things. On the other hand, I've also been getting daily updates from Terry who is on a mission trip in Guatemala. She is with a variety of people that have made up one heck of a team. In the last 2 days they have performed a dental clinic in the village of Pueblo Nuevo. They have extracted, filled and cleaned teeth for 80 people in 2 days. They actually had to turn people away due to not having enough time to treat all of them. Besides this, they have visited another village that we are interested in beginning out reach efforts in, and are visiting and volunteering at orphanages and special needs group homes for children. I had so many emotions about this week due to the fact that I could not be in Guatemala with my wife and our ministry doing these things with the team and sharing this with Terry and Tommy. But now that it's done, I'm so thankful that God knows what he's doing, because I surely don't. I would have missed out on all the things that me and Tommy have shared together and really would not have impacted the trip in an effective way. Could you imagine me trying to be helpful at a dental clinic? Disaster, huh?
Thanks to all of those who have been praying for us this week!
